Brian Oveson earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography at the University of Colorado, Denver in 2004. He has been photographing an array of subjects since he discovered the camera as his preferred medium in 1994. His main focus within the medium is photo-collage, what he refers to as “Constructs”. He photographs environments in fragments in order to capture the element of time and changing light. He then constructs them back together by hand to create wide-angel, ethereal experiences of his subjects. Works vary in size from intimate to large life like scale. Bodies of work include, Architecture – Cycles of Existence, Nature – The Human Influence, Transportation – Machinery and Structure, Urban – Expression and Decay.
